Photography - Photojournalism - Documentary Photography
Maria Kalafatsi is a photographer from Greece, currently based in Paris. Photography was the medium she always expressed herself best, since she first held her father’s camera as a child. Before photography, her ephemeral studies and work experience in physics, linguistics, and a 10-year old career in logistics enabled her to now dedicate herself to the craft.
Through photojournalism and documentary photography she aspires to create a universal visual language that will convey her love for nature and the urgency of preserving it, her generation’s ideology debacle, and the importance of preserving the past beyond nostalgia.
